Project Brief

RG Huston acted as the general contractor for the mass grading portion of the overhaul of the Cherokee Country Club Golf Course.  The project involved converting the current, worn-down golf course into a PGA tournament rated golf course.

Project Description

This project involved the complete reconstruction of an existing golf course on an aggressive timeline to get it ready for the following season.  The project started in January 2022 and was completed by October 2022.  We moved around 300,000 cubic yards of material, installed over 18,000 lineal feet of drainage pipe, and installed numerous fiberglass bridges on helical piles throughout the golf course.  We overcame winter weather, a high ground water table, strict environmental protocols, and a tight deadline to boot.
