Position

R.G. Huston is currently seeking a full-time Civil CAD Technician to join our rapidly growing team of young professionals.  We will provide you the tools and mentoring to grow & succeed in your career.  This position will allow you to work on a tremendous variety of heavy civil construction projects; anywhere from 100+ acre grading job to a small parking lot.

Responsibilities

  • Use 3D modeling software to perform quantity takeoffs on earthwork, aggregates, & underground utilities.
  • Use 3D modeling software to create GPS earthwork models.
  • Perform topographic surveys on job sites.

Required Skills

  • 3D modeling software experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

We are looking for licensed CDL drivers to fill openings for our quad axle dump trucks (roll off trucks). We have full-time and part-time positions available!

Responsibilities 

You’ll be hauling materials such as stone, gravel, concrete, and excavated fill between our quarries, worksites, and dump sites. We offer steady, year-round work and offer jobs based out of our Cottage Grove location and throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of truck driving experience required
  • 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record required
  • CDL Class A or Class B license required
  • Quad axle dump truck, hook lift/roll off experience required
  • Completion of employment application, background checks and drug screening are required

  • Fill out daily foreman reports.
  • Ability to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS).

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in the highway heavy civil construction.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools.
  • Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills.
  • Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial.
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
